Rolf Harris CBE AM

Perhaps most widely recognised as a TV personality Rolf Harris’ talents span the arts. A consummate musician, composer and singer -songwriter, it is most recently his painting that has captured the public’s imagination.

Unbeknown to many Rolf Harris fans, his early career actually began with painting - he trained at the City & Guilds Art School in Kennington, South London, and was even exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition through the 1950’s.

Combining tv & art was a natural progression, so when Rolf Harris was commissioned to produce a portrait of Her Majesty the Queen to celebrate her 80th birthday the accompanying documentary was very popular.
