Paul Corfield

Looking at his paintings it’s difficult to imagine that as a child Paul Corfield was passionate about achieving a realistic, accurate portrayal in his drawings.

Indeed, for the first years of his artistic career Paul Corfield was only concerned with contemporary realism or photorealism.

But he began experimenting with a more casual dreamlike approach that’s developed into the style we see in his paintings today - a style which he finds truly liberating.

Paul Corfield lives in the English coastal town of Poole, Dorset so inspiration is never far away with the sea and countryside in such close proximity.
