Nadeem Chughtai

In 2005 Nadeem Chughtai won the prestigious New Artist Competition at the leading International Home Decor Show, and a contract with a British fine art publisher followed soon after.

His first collection, Nadeem - ‘Life and Soul’ launched to considerable praise. His unique pictures convey a cartoon-like touch, yet with a depth and solitude reminiscent of Edward Hopper, just one of his many inspirations.

Nadeem Chughtai admits to retaining an air of mystery about his paintings, especially depicted in the faceless characters, leaving them open to interpretation.

This style betrays Nadeem’s background in film animation; his fascination with light and shadows, forms, mood and atmosphere are ever present in his work. Why not take a look at Nadeem’s website.
