Mark Grieves

The path to artist-hood has not been straightforward for Mark Grieves. As a student he harboured artistic ambitions, but this was sidelined after conflicting with his art teacher!

After rejection from Art College his path forked towards photography. Mark Grieves continued painting "finally taking the plunge to go it alone" and become an artist full-time.

Mark Grieves believes that “inspiration is everywhere, the skill is being able to filter out the juicy bits”, for him this means “interesting shapes and shadows, light and contrast”.

This is evident in the paintings Mark Grieves produces; his ‘Building Love’ is truly a monument to expressing the most fundamental of emotions.
