John Wilson

First impressions count. But things are often not what they first seem in John Wilson’s creations, bringing together some very intruging ‘Mind Games’ that could be remincient of a modern day M.C. Esher - there’s always something new to see.

Many of John Wilson’s pieces use some clever 3-D trickery to confuse the brain so that as you move across the front of the picture the entire image seems to move with you.

Mixing the innocent, raw and yet complex stick figures that all children begin to draw alongside familiar works of old masters, John Wilson explains “Monet, Van Gogh, Renoir, Da Vinci - would have probably drawn people in exactly the same way when they were about four years old”.

His underlying message is perhaps that art is for everyone.
