Nature is a fascination as well as an inspiration, and in "Atlantic" the latest collection from Duncan MacGregor you can feel the forces of nature at work.

His signature sailboats almost in motion, embraced by the ocean, and set against the disappearing coastline; close your eyes for a second and you could almost be onboard.

Spending 18 months at sea, sailing across the Atlantic provided Duncan MacGregor his inspiration, "these experiences have all had a profound effect on my work" he says.

Duncan MacGregor is one of the foremost contemporary marine artists and his distinctive seascapes have recently been recreated on a range of fine bone china mugs.
