Darren Baker

Fêted by well known sports personalities, politicians and even royalty it's no surprise that Darren Baker's paintings are award winning too. Winner of national art competitions his works have captured many a heart.

“My work owes much to the great exponents of still-life and portraiture. Classical tradition underpins my painting and vision and every new piece of art is a statement of intent: to improve and better understand the subject.” Darren explains.

Highly sought after for his contemporary intimate portraits, Darren Baker has his own individuality. So striking is his work that he was appointed the official artist of the Professional Footballer's Association and most recently Darren Baker goes for gold as official artist to the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Darren's latest rise to prominence is to be selected to paint an official portrait of the HM Queen Elizabeth II.
