Ken Dorling

My role with Urban Galleries is to be the main point of contact in the UK - I'll be supporting the work that Steve and Paul are doing in Canada and I am available to deal with any queries or questions raised by our clients.

When I was asked to give some thought to writing my profile for the Urban Galleries website I realised that I can claim over forty years experience employing and training people in the work place - mainly in a Sales and Marketing environment.

For many years I held a senior managerial post in the world of finance, where again I was responsible for the people in the organisation. I have also had experience in setting up and running my own business enterprises.

So my particular strengths are managing and developing the sales structures within a business environment and training people in the skills needed to run a successful sales operation.

Our family has always been involved in arts and crafts.

Watercolour painting in particular has been a favourite medium, whilst my daughter, a graduate in Textile Design, creates original abstract embroidered canvases and produces her own range of hand made greeting cards.

My experience will be of considerable value to Urban Galleries and working with Steve and Paul, I look forward to helping to expand and develop the sales and marketing side of the business.
